Schedule of Rates & Fee Schedules

Each of our water systems have production, treatment, storage, distribution and service facilities specifically designed to meet the needs of that community along with water service rates that reflect those costs of operations. We have provided information about schedule of rates, private fire protection, deposits and service charges and fees. We have not included pricing for third party billing services for sewer, garbage, fire protection and DHH Bond fees and questions about those charges should be directed to those service providers.

Customer Deposits

• Residential Home Owners – $60.00 minimum
• Residential Rental Units – $90.00 minimum
• Commercial – Calculated at 2 times the estimate maximum monthly bill

Service Charges & Fees

• For each new residential service connected to the water distribution system for domestic service, the ¾” meter assembly charge or residential tap fee is $300.00 (short service). If the tap requires a road bore (long service) the ¾” meter assembly charge or residential tap fee is $380.00.
• For each new service installation different from a standard residential service, including temporary service, irrigation service, commercial service, fire service, and relocation of an existing service, the meter assembly, service connection or relocation charge is based on the actual cost to install the requested service.
• For any service connection in an area requiring a Contribution in Aid of Construction to receive service, the Contribution in Aid of Construction will be determined by the cost of that specific area/development and must be paid along with any new service connection fees to receive service.
• For turning on a service or reading the meter upon a change of customers during business hours, the service charge is $20.00.
• For turning on a service or reading the meter upon a change of customers during non-business hours, the service charge is $30.00.
• For reconnecting a service after disconnection for nonpayment during business hours, all outstanding charges on the account must be paid in full and the reconnection charge is $30.00.
• For reconnecting a service after disconnection for nonpayment during non-business hours, all outstanding charges on the account must be paid in full and the reconnection charge is $45.00.
• For requesting to have a serviceman dispatched to the service address for personal assistance or other instances where the request is not related to the customer’s service line or meter setting and where the company is not responsible for the problem, during business hours the service charge is $20.00.
• For requesting to have a serviceman dispatched to the service address for personal assistance or other instances where the request is not related to the customer’s service line or meter setting and where the company is not responsible for the problem, during non-business hours the service charge is $30.00.
• For each check payment that is charged back to the account by the bank for insufficient funds (NSF) or closed accounts, the charge per occurrence will be $20.00.
• For any service connection where a customer by-passes a meter or otherwise tampers with the meter, meter box or service line, the customer will be charged the cost to replace or repair any damaged equipment and water charges with the minimum tamper fee of $75.00.
• For each customer with a backflow preventer or leak detector check assembly device installed on their private plumbing, the customer will be charged a monthly Backflow Surveillance Fee of $4.00 for the purpose of notifying customers and tracking of backflow preventer annual maintenance testing requirements as required by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.

Private Fire Hydrant Service – Monthly Charge – $13.00

Temporary Fire Hydrant Water Service

• Service Charge – $50/hour during business hours. $65/hour during non-business hours.
• Deposit – $300.00
• Hydrant Inspection Fee – $20.00
• Water Rate – $8.00 per 1,000 Gallons (plus applicable tax or fees)
